I love the atmosphere. I enjoy working with students and faculty. The staff on campus are very supportive of one another. Our department has wonderful teamwork between staff, faculty and students.
It is very important to me that the staff in our department feels seen, heard and appreciated. I would like for this to be a priority for all staff at the university.
Gardening, traveling, spending time with my grandkids.
I have four dogs in my home right now: Winston is a Weimaraner and he is my heart dog. We got him at 8 weeks, and he is now 11 years old. He is my shadow and is always by my side. Sandy is a Shepard mix, and she was my mother's dog. I took her when my mom passed. She is a very good girl who loves to give kisses but she sheds like crazy. Currie is a Black Mouth Cur. She belonged to my son, but I have been taking care of her for the last year, and she is a dream dog. So very good and super sweet! Suki is my daughter's dog and is staying with us temporarily. She is a small dog and definitely has small dog syndrome. She is an absolute pain, but I love her just the same.
The biggest opportunity for change is making staff a priority at this campus. I believe that some departments do well at this but definitely not all. I have been to many meetings where faculty issues that need to be addressed are listed in many bullets on the slide and staff issues are a small blurb at the bottom of the page.
