Applications for Spring Campus Awards are available from October 1st to February 1st annually (unless designated by a different date below). Please review the following information carefully and let us know if you have questions.

Spring Award Information


All applications are due by midnight on Feb. 1st (unless designated with a different date below)

 

OU HEALTH CAMPUS (INCLUDING ADDITIONAL SITES) AND OU-TULSA CAMPUS:
OU Health Campus and OU-Tulsa Campus students may apply for individual campus awards (recognition only - not scholarships) via the following links for the following awards: 

OU NORMAN CAMPUS:
OU Norman Campus students may apply for individual campus awards (which are recognition only - not scholarships) via CASH.ou.edu from October 1st to February 1st annually (unless designated with a separate link or date below):

Spring Award Descriptions


The President's Award for Outstanding Transfer Students

Selected transfer students who have excelled in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Once selected for this award, students are ineligible to receive it again. Recipients are selected by a committee of faculty and staff annually.

The President's Award for Outstanding Volunteers

Selected individuals who have made a significant impact on the community through service. Once selected for this award, students are ineligible to receive it again. Recipients are selected by a committee of faculty and staff annually.

The President's Award for Outstanding Freshmen

The highest honor bestowed to freshmen by the university community. 15 individuals are selected by a committee of faculty and staff annually. 

The President's Award for Outstanding Sophomores

The highest honor bestowed to sophomores by the university community. 15 individuals are selected by a committee of faculty and staff annually. 

The Regents' Award for Outstanding Juniors

The highest honor bestowed to juniors by the university community for those who have excelled in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. 18 individuals across all OU Campuses are selected by a committee of faculty and staff annually. 

PE-ET Top 10 Senior Honor Society

The PE-ET Top 10 Senior Honor Society includes an interview process along with the CASH application. Students are eligible to apply if they are scheduled to receive a Bachelor's Degree in December or anytime in the Spring/Summer following their third year of undergrad.

Hall & Biscoe Leadership-Scholarship Awards

Presented to two individuals who have made a significant contribution to enhancing the University community. Recipients are selected by a committee of faculty and staff annually.

Fern Holland Award

Sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and Delta Gamma Fraternity, in honor of Fern Holland (learn more), recognizing a full-time undergraduate student who showcases a great desire to make a difference in the world around them. The selection process involves several stages, beginning with nominations from faculty and staff and culminating in a committee, appointed by the Vice President for Student Affairs, selecting a deserving recipient.

Dr. Becky Reed Barker Leadership Scholarship

A $1,500 cash award recognizing a full-time undergraduate student who demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities. The selection process involves several stages, beginning with nominations from faculty and staff and culminating in a committee, appointed by the Vice President for Student Affairs, selecting a deserving recipient.

Letzeiser Honor List and Medalists

The Letzeiser Honor List is comprised of seniors as a stimulus of good citizenship and achievement who are scheduled to receive a Bachelor's Degree in December or anytime in the Spring/Summer of their final year of undergrad. 

Three Letzeiser Medalists (bronze, silver, and gold) are selected from the honor list each year and are not announced until the Campus Awards Ceremony.

All Letzeiser Recipients are selected by a committee of faculty and staff annually.

Walter Neustadt Award

This award was established in honor of Regent Walter Neustadt, who served from 1969-1976 and gained immense respect for his dedication and service to the University of Oklahoma. Each year the Student Government Association presents this award to a staff member who has exhibited outstanding leadership and service to the University community. The recipient will be announced at the Campus Awards Ceremony.
