General Policies and Procedures

Scheduling

No same-day or walk-in appointments are available.

  • Professors must submit their exam through the Canvas/RegisterBlast portal before the student can schedule.
  • Students must schedule their exam through RegisterBlast at least 2 business days before the exam date. We recommend scheduling one to two weeks in advance, or earlier when possible.

  • If a student attempts to schedule an exam less than 48 hours before the exam date, RegisterBlast will not display available appointment times. The student must contact their instructor to request approval for a different testing time.

  • The OU Testing Center is closed on university holidays and other dates posted on the Testing Center website. Any unforeseen closures will be posted on the website and communicated through email or other appropriate campus communications. Current hours and scheduled closures are available on the OU Testing Center website.

Testing Procedures

  • Students must present a valid photo ID before entering the testing room. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, state-issued ID, passport, or digital ID. OU students may use their digital OU ID through the OU mobile app.

  • The OU Testing Center provides pencils, computers, earplugs, and noise-canceling headphones as needed.

  • Students are responsible for paying any required testing or exam fees before testing. Applicable fees are paid when the student registers for the exam through RegisterBlast.

Testing Environment and Conduct

  • Students are responsible for bringing any materials specifically required by their instructor, such as scantron forms, blue books, graphing paper, calculators, or other approved materials.

  • When finished with the exam, students must follow their instructor's instructions for submitting online work and/or return all required materials to the Testing Center front desk.

  • All notes, formula sheets, or other reference materials used during an exam will be collected at check-out unless the instructor has specifically indicated otherwise.

  • Testing Center rooms are monitored by cameras at all times to maintain a secure testing environment.

  • Students are expected to follow all instructions provided by Testing Center staff and their instructor and to maintain a quiet and respectful testing environment.

Late and No-Show Policy

  • Students must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time.
