This training session is designed to introduce university community members to the Spectrum of Resolution Options Model that was introduced to the higher education community through the Reframing Campus Conflict Publication (Schrage and Giacomini). Presenters during this session will:

  • Introduce the Spectrum of Resolution Options model and each of its components
  • Identify how the model fits within the University of Oklahoma’s Student Rights, and Responsibilities Code

This training session will on focus on providing guidance on the art of facilitating difficult conversation. Presenters during this session will:

  • Provide an overview of the various forms of Conflict
  • Discuss the three conversations within a Difficult Conversation
  • Identify ways to utilize the spectrum of resolutions model to navigate difficult conversations

This training session will focus on the various styles of responding to conflict. Presenters during this session will help participants:

  • Identify the different conflict styles
  • Understand their personal conflict style
  • Identify the conflict styles of others
