Community Engagement

The role of Community Engagement (CE) is to support students in the process of developing self-authorship, while fostering meaningful connections between students and the broader community. Ultimately, CE aims to cultivate an environment in which student leadership can flourish, enabling current students to serve as sources of inspiration and guidance for future cohorts. CE not only serves as a developmental resource for registered student organizations but a building block for every student who wants to cultivate community and develop holistically outside of the classroom.

They range the spectrum from music and dance to politics and debate, from service and social activities to cultural and educational interests. If you feel that an interest or activity area is missing, you can even start your own!

Departmental Student Organizations (DSOs) are large student orgainzations that are supported by an office, division, or department or advised by staff members whose role includes advising the student organization.
