Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity Council is the umbrella organization that serves the 18 fraternities within the council. Founded in 1905, IFC centers on leadership, service, scholarship, and community and encourages its members to live up to these values in all they do. The Interfraternity Council is home to over 2,400 members.

The IFC community at the University of Oklahoma has been serving fraternity men on campus since 1905. As the umbrella organization for the National Interfraternity Conference chapters at the university, IFC can provide a home away from home for male students looking for academic excellence, community service opporunities, and leadership training.

  • The All-IFC grade point average is a 3.13
  • IFC chapters host philanthropic, social, and professional development opportunities for members and the community each semester
  • IFC men are involved in various campus leadership positions and are often awarded prestigious campus awards such as the Letzeiser Honor Roll, Big Man on Campus, and the PE-ET society
  • Over 2,400 men are a part of our IFC community at the University of Oklahoma
