SCM Institute
This week-long event is a cornerstone of the OU-Tulsa School of Community Medicine’s educational approach. The immersive program brings together students and faculty from multiple disciplines across the Tulsa campus for hands-on, reflective learning. Participants work in interprofessional teams to engage with local healthcare providers, service organizations, and patients, gaining insight into the structure and dynamics of the healthcare landscape in Tulsa. Throughout the week, participants are also introduced to strategies for effective advocacy—learning how to use their voices and future professional roles to support systems-level improvements in health and well-being.

This is our 18th year hosting the Institute and we are excited to continue with this life-changing event for not only our students and faculty, but also the community.
