Applying for a Faculty Position

The University of Oklahoma uses Interfolio to manage all faculty searches.  Below is a list of the positions available within the School of Community Medicine, organized by department.  A free Dossier account with Interfolio is required to apply.  Current Interfolio users do not need to create a new account.

Most positions are open to all sub-specialties within a department's scope.  Applicants are encouraged to apply to all positions they are qualified to fill.  Positions for a specific role or specialty are noted as such. Click on an Intefolio link below to see additional details for that specific position.

Most positions require a CV and cover letter upload.  Some departments require additional documents.

The Department of Emergency Medicine accepts applications from physicians trained in general emergency medicine and related sub-specialties.

The Department of Family and Community Medicine is accepting applications from physicians trained in family medicine and sports medicine.  Qualified physician applicants are invited to apply all available positions.

The department is also accepting applications for Physician Assistant Faculty.

The Department of Internal Medicine accepts applications from physicians trained in general medicine, nephrology, neurology, and geriatrics.

The Department of ObGyn accepts applications from physicians trained in obstetrics, gynecology, urogynecology, and all other women's health sub-specialties.  Applicants are invited to apply to all avialable positions.
 
The Department of Pediatrics accepts applications from physicians trained in general pediatrics and related specialties., child abuse, and endocrinology.

The Department of Psychiatry accepts applications from psychiatrists trained in geriatric psychiatry, general psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry.  Applicants are invited to apply to all available positions.
 

The Department of Surgery accepts applications from physicians trained in general surgery, vascular surgery, and breast reconstruction.  Physicians trained in other surgical specialties are also welcome to apply.

Description of Organization

The School of Community Medicine (SCM), a regional campus of the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Our programs provide learners with the knowledge and aptitudes necessary to serve as well-rounded specialty or primary care physicians and physician assistants while learning skills to improve the health of entire communities.  In addition to a four-year undergraduate medical education program, the SCM offers a physician assistant program, 7 residency programs, and 6 fellowships.

Our physician practice, OU Health Physicians, provides a full rant of care for both inpatient and outpatient settings, offering a complete care team to service our patients and community across the metro area.

Specialties include Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Medical Informatics, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Surgery with subspecialties including nephrology, neurology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, child and adolescent psychiatry, child abuse, geriatrics, cardiology, sports medicine, and vascular surgery.
