The purpose of the lactation rooms at the University of Oklahoma–Tulsa Schusterman Center is to provide a dedicated comfortable, private, and quiet space for nursing mothers to pump their breast milk during their time on campus. This space will be available to nursing mothers who are students, faculty, or staff members at OU-Tulsa. Users will be required to provide their own pump and supplies.
Students, staff, and faculty may gain access to lactation rooms by completing the OU-Tulsa Lactation Room Registration Form.
Access to lactation rooms is restricted using OU-Tulsa building access control system and access badge. Once the registration form is completed, a representative from the OU-Tulsa Student Affairs team will process your request within 1 to 3 business days. If your request is approved, you will be copied on an email regarding badge access.
If you do not have an OU-Tulsa acess badge, you will need to visit the Office of Admissions and Recruitment (formerly the Student Enrollment Center) on the OU-Tulsa campus. You will need to present a valid government-issued photo ID and have your photo taken as part of the badge issuance process through the specialized access control system.
OU-Tulsa Student Affairs will regularly review access to both lactation room spaces, in accordance with OU-Tulsa building access policies administered by the Operations Department.
By completing the registration form, users agree to Lactation Room Use & Guidelines (pdf).
Feedback in the form of questions, comments, concerns, and suggestions are welcomed and encouraged. All feedback should be directed to TulsaSA@ou.edu or
Joshua-Davis@ou.edu.
