Amanda Pollock, M.Ed., LPC-S

Amanda received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master’s of Education degree in Community Counseling from the University of Oklahoma.  She completed two graduate internships through the University of Oklahoma, one at the University Counseling Center and one at the Counseling Psychology Assessment Clinic.  Amanda has been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 2008. She has worked in an out-patient setting on the OU Health Sciences Center campus providing assessment, counseling, and outreach.  During a counseling session, she strives to create a safe space to explore and process together, allowing for personal growth.  She views counseling as an individualized experience that will promote healing, understanding, and acceptance of own’s self.  By allowing others to express themselves in a nurtured space, she helps to promote healthy coping skills to reduce life stressors, such as anxiety, depression, and adjustment concerns.
