Dr. Joshua Deitte received his Bachelor’s degree in psychology and legal studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and then completed his MS and PsyD in clinical psychology at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Deitte completed his doctoral internship at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville’s counseling center. His past trainings/experiences include working with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings including: community mental health, a health-based department clinic with an emphasis on treating addiction, and collegiate mental health. He considers himself a generalist and has experience working with a range of symptoms including: anxiety, depression, identity development, adjustment difficulties, perfectionism, substance use, sleep disorders, trauma, and emotion regulation.
Dr. Deitte strives to create a space that is collaborative, safe, nonjudgmental, and culturally integrative. He views therapy as a unique opportunity for people to enrich their lives through active exploration of their values/belief systems. His goal is to help empower clients to live a life in line with their values and work through obstacles in doing so.
When not working, he enjoys golfing, watching Sci-Fi, playing video games, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
