Elevate Your Event
One of the best ways to elevate the atmosphere for your event is by adding uplighting! Use uplighting to transform your entire space or highlight a specific element at your event.
We offer a multitude of lighting options from your standard wash lights, moving heads and blacklights.
To add lighting to your event:
- Look at the information below for additional information on lighting.
- You can also book a free lighting consultation on what would work best for your event.
- Reserve your lights and decide operation style.
- Self-service operation means you will setup and operate the lights yourself.
- We can also have our staff design, setup and/or operate lights for your events for an additional cost.
- Enjoy your great-looking event!
Choosing Your Lights

| Wash light (shining up wall/column) | -For large areas of wall that you want to add solid color, use LED Strip Lights. -For smaller, alternating beams of light or for smaller walls, use LED Par Lights. |
| Highlight a specific item (e.g. table centerpiece/cake) | Use EZ Pinspots (located under the Gobos & Spotlights below). |
| Spotlight on people | -For spotlighting people, use the Followspot 75ST (located under the Gobos & Spotlights below). |
| Display a logo | - To display a simple logo/image, use the EZ Gobo (located under the Gobos & Spotlights below). -To display your logo from a far distance/with greater clarity, use the Followspot 75ST (located under the Gobos & Spotlights below).
Some gobos are able to be printed at no additional cost. If the design is more complex, the reserving party will need to pay for the production of a professionally made insert. |

LED par lights are one of the most versatile lighting options. They are great for shining up walls and pillars and highlighting specific event features. These lights provide a focused beam of light in a variety of colors.
Battery-powered lights are also available, allowing more options to elevate your event.

Yes, lights can be rented for events not taking place at the Oklahoma Memorial Union.
The reserving party is responsible for picking up, operating, and returning all lights. If lights are returned in a condition different than when rented, there will be a necessary fee assessed.
Yes! Our staff will provide a free lighting consultation prior to your event.
We can also have our staff setup/operate/clean-up the lights for an additional service fee.
Prior to your self-service rental, you will be emailed a link to the specific light guide for your light(s) rented.
