UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA
FACULTY SENATE
The Faculty Senate consists of 50 members of the regular
faculty elected to three-year terms by the colleges. The
Senate exercises legislative powers as delegated by the
regular faculty and has the power to initiate any
legislation requiring approval of the Board of Regents.
Meetings of the Senate are held usually on the second Monday
of each month of the regular school year and are open to
the public.

Guiding Principles for Budgetary Actions (April 20, 2010)
Vote of Regular Faculty concerning the Faculty Senate Charter and 2010-13 Reapportionment (April 2010): The Faculty Senate approved the revisions in its charter and the recommended apportionment for 2010-13 at its March 8 meeting. The regular faculty approved the revisions and apportionment by email vote, 206 to 21, which took place from March 12 to April 16.
