Cleveland Area Rapid Transit (CART) transports more than 1 million passengers annually on the fixed-route bus system. CART buses run six Norman city routes and three University of Oklahoma campus routes on weekdays and most Saturdays. CART also operates a commuter route, the Sooner Express, to Oklahoma City Monday through Friday.
CART also operates a paratransit service, CARTaccess, for the elderly, disabled, and those unable to ride the fixed-route bus system.

All routes except the Apartment Loop (32) and Lloyd Noble and Research shuttles combined (43) are operating out of the new Brooks Street Transfer Station. The station is by the Duck Pond parking area, near Brooks and Jenkins. Routes 32 and 43 continue to operate from the temporary transfer station south of Lindsey Street along Asp Avenue. Bus advertising is one of the most affordable and effective advertising tools for local businesses and university departments. CART's buses are seen on campus, across Norman (east side and west side), into Moore and down I-35 to Oklahoma City four times a day. OU students will need a current semester validation sticker on their student ID cards to ride CART routes. Stickers are available at the CART office, OU Parking Services and OneCard Office.
