Welcome to the Graduate Program in Telecommunications Engineering, University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. This Graduate Program is part of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the College of Engineering. Besides the M.S. degree in Telecommunications Engineering, we also offer M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Ph.D. in Engineering; the latter aimed at the mid-career engineering professional. We have an almost equal number of students in our Master and Doctoral programs.

Thanks much for your kind words. I do appreciate your graciousness not only for your words tonight but over the past several years that I have had the good fortune to be associated with yourselves and with OU-Tulsa. Indeed, OU-Tulsa is a remarkable institution; several years ago, I termed it a wall-less university because it’s the only institution I know where you can practice interdisciplinary work without a conscious effort on your part. Thanks Jim for giving me the opportunity to say a few words - it is a such a pleasure for us to be here tonight to mark such a momentous occasion. On behalf of both my Mom, Gita, and myself and his granddaughter, Anjuli (who is off studying abroad in Spain) – we do want to begin by expressing to all of the faculty, staff and students here today how grateful we are to you for being such an important and positive part of Dad’s professional career. I know I can speak for him when I say that his experience at OU was exciting, rich and fun, something that would not have been as fulfilling , had it not been for all of you…you made this not a job for him, but you each helped fuel his passion for learning, teaching and creating.
