Award Winners from the National Symposium on Student Retention in Milwaukee

The 12th annual CSRDE $2000 Best Practices Award was presented to Illinois College for their paper titled “Early Intervention at Illinois College: The Politics, Potentials, and Perils of Using ACT’s College-Readiness Benchmarks”. Congratulations on a job well done!

The 1st annual CSRDE $750 Institutional Research Leadership in Student Retention Award was presented to University of Minnesota for their paper titled "Modeling Student Academic Success: Does Usage of Campus Recreation Facilities Make a Difference?". Congratulations on being the first to receive this award.

A special Director's Award for the paper which best addresses an issue of current interest and need in the field of student retention and success was presented to Lander University. Their paper was titled "Engagement of the Online Learner". Congratulation on this achievement.

Upcoming National Symposium on Student Retention

Are you registered yet? The symposium in Milwaukee is coming up fast (September 24-26). Make sure you are registered so you don't miss out.

This year we will be having Cliff Adelman, Institute for Higher Education Policy; Steve Robbins, ACT, Inc.; Laurie Schreiner, Azusa Pacific University; and Richard Rafes, East Central University as our guest speakers. We will have pre- and post-conference workshops, member presentations, information sessions, and a fun evening event. Don't miss out!!!

Main CSRDE Study Completed

The main CSRDE study for the 4-year and 2-year institutions was completed and distributed to our members in June and July respectively.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Completed

This year the STEM study was completed in August and made available electronically through our portal site. This optional survey for 4-year institutions, follows first-time, full-time, baccalaureate degree-seeking freshmen majoring in the STEM fields. For more information about our surveys...
