OU International Educational Travel Policies and Procedures


It is the policy of the University of Oklahoma that all international educational programs that require students to travel outside of the United States follow the International Educational Travel Guidelines approved by President Boren. A copy of President Boren’s directive, a copy of the guidelines, a model emergency response protocol required by the guidelines and copies of forms required by the guidelines may be obtained from the links below:

  • OU International Educational Travel Approval Form (This form must be completed for all educational programs that require students to travel outside of the United States. It must be approved by the Vice Provost for Instruction, the Vice Provost for International Programs and on file in the Education Abroad office.)
  • Student form packet, including:
    Address and passport information
    Contract for OU Study Abroad Participants
    Insurance Information
