Junho Park (Ph.D., Florida State University) is an Assistant Professor of Public Relations in the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. His research examines cognitive, emotional, and behavioral responses to mediated messages, with a particular emphasis on how communication strategies shape attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors in contexts of health and social consequence, including physical and mental health and risky behaviors such as gambling.
His research primarily uses quantitative research methods that combine self-report and psychophysiological measures (e.g., heart rate, skin conductance, facial EMG, and eye tracking). Through this work, he aims to advance theory while generating practical insights for promoting people's health and well-being.
His most recent study, published in $Addictive Behaviors$, examined how paid-partnership disclosures in influencer posts affect audience responses to oral nicotine pouch advertising on social media.
