Dr. Amber Grace Young is Associate Professor of Management Information Systems. Her research interests center on the responsible design and use of emerging IT within organizations and society. She has published in top IS journals such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the AIS, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Information Technology, Information & Organization, International Journal of Information Management, MIT Sloan Management Review, and Journal of Responsible Technology, among others.
Amber is a former Associate Editor for MIS Quarterly. She has served as Guest Senior Editor for Information Systems Journal and Guest Associate Editor for Journal of the AIS and Information & Organization. She is on the editorial board for Information & Organization. She is a Program Chair for the 2027 European Conference on Information Systems that will be held in Luxembourg and an active contributor to the Association for Information Systems (Distinguished Member, Cum Laude).
Amber is “Sooner born and Sooner bred.” She graduated from McLoud High School and the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics before getting a B.S.Ed. in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Oklahoma. She went on to obtain an M.B.A. from Oklahoma Christian University and a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma. In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters and cheering on OU’s sports teams.
