About Jurney

Dr. Jurney is an Associate Professor in Accounting in the Price College of Business. She earned her Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Oklahoma and is a Certified Public Accountant (Oklahoma).

Dr. Jurney's primary research interest can best be described as judgment and decision-making research using experimental methods.  Her most recent research has focused on understanding the attitudes informing tax compliance and tax policy administration. 

She has taught courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in tax, financial, and managerial accounting.  Prior to returning to OU, Dr. Jurney was on the faculty at the University of Alabama, the University of Arkansas, Oklahoma City University, and Abilene Christian University.
