The University of Oklahoma Retirees Association (OURA) has represented the interests and concerns of retired university faculty and staff since it was established by the OU Regents in 1991. Its purposes are to provide contact, communication, and fellowship among retired employees and, more critically, to monitor and safeguard retiree benefits.

OURA general meetings are held quarterly, in March, June, September, and December. Dues are $10 per year and include a digital or print subscription to the Association's quarterly newsletter, The Banner
