Timothy Hardaway, MD

Undergraduate: University of Arkansas, Fayetteville

Family Life: Married to the love of my life with one dog and one cat. (i.e. two kids)

Hobbies: Hiking, indoor rowing, eating at new restaurants, and finding new music.

Favorite things about Tulsa: Concerts and music venues, Arkansas River, Cherry Street, and (I haven’t been but can’t wait to explore) The Gathering Place.

Why I chose this program: This is the closest residency and centrally located to extended family, and I really felt at home with the current residents during my interviews. 

Theresa Jackson, MD

Family Life: I have 10 brothers and sisters, mostly in California, but my wife and I come from Brooklyn.

Hobbies: Anything athletic, especially sports; guitar; reading Spanish, French and English literature.

Favorite things about Tulsa: The size/cost of my apartment and the friendliness of the people.

Why I chose this program: I was very impressed with the leadership, abundant experience provided to the interns, and emphasis on didactics.

Family Life: Fiancé Corey and our three dogs; Cash, Nelly, and Penny.

Hobbies: Hiking, cooking, and gardening.

Favorite things about Tulsa: The variety of things to do like The Gathering Place, art museums, and local restaurants.

Why I chose this program: The supportive faculty and staff. 


Brianna Taylor, MD

Family Life: I live with my boyfriend, my cat – Rambo, and my pitbull – Koda.

Hobbies: Trying to keep houseplants alive, DIY projects, and baking.

Favorite things about Tulsa: My first home, the wide-open skies, the local coffee shops, and The Outsiders Museum! I also love that it is not humid here like in my hometown of Cut n Shoot, Texas.

Why I chose this program: I loved the chill vibe of the residents during the social and interview. Tulsa has a great cost of living and friendly people. Perhaps, most importantly…no call.

Family Life: I am the youngest of six and a proud parent to a Siberian Husky.

Hobbies: Powerlifting, flipping/parkour, sleeping, and being a foodie.

Favorite things about Tulsa: BBQ

Why I chose this program: I chose this program because of the energy I felt during my interview day. They had the most wholesome vibes of any program I had seen.

Undergraduate: East Central University

Family Life: My family still resides in Southern Oklahoma where we grew up.

Hobbies: Spending time with my wife, kids, and dog. Anything that requires turning a wrench or using tools. Cooking.

Favorite things about Tulsa: There’s always a good place to eat here. Driving to get there is easy because the streets make sense. If I’m tired of city life, it takes only minutes to be in the country.

Why I chose this program: Early operative experience and exposure, the personal investment to my future, and training to take care of Oklahomans.
