Molly Shi Boren Ballroom A/V

This room is equipped with an in-ceiling, drop-down projector/screen and in-room audio.

Turn On Projector

Follow the below steps to turn on/adjust the drop-down projector/screen:

  1. Press the Projector On button on the Projector Control Panel.
    • If the Projector/Screen has not been lowered, this will cause the screen and projector to lower into place.
    • If the Projector/Screen is already lowered, this will ensure the projector is on.

This room provides multiple input and output options.

We recommend confirming your needed setup with your OMU reservation specialist prior to your event so that configurations are correct when you enter the space.

Connecting to Projector

You can connect to the in-room projector via one of two HDMI inputs. 

HDMI Port Location 1 (default): South Wall of Room near East Doors

HDMI Port Location 2: East Wall of Room

  • To connect using HDMI Port 2, please contact OMU Maintenance at the number listed below so that the correct adjustments may be made to the A/V system.

 


Turn Off Projector

To temporarily turn off the projector, but not raise the screen or projector, press the Projector Off button on the Projector Control Panel.

To turn off and fully raise the projector & screen, press the Raise or Lower button on the Projector Control Panel.

 


Additional Outputs

If you need to have additional outputs to display images throughout the ballroom, there are HDMI Output ports located in two spaces in the room. These ports can be used to connect additional TV screens or projectors.

HDMI Output Port 2 Location: Southern Most pillar on West side of Room

Audio Output

To utilize the in-room audio via HDMI connection, you must turn on the projector as described above and ensure your audio output is the MMA10G-TRXS option.

If you are using audio via Aux input or through other cable connections to the Primary Connection Panel or Secondary Connection Panels, use the information below to adjust the volume.

 


Adjusting Volume

Volume adjustments may be made using the Volume Control Panel and the steps below:

  1. Select the appropriate audio input by pressing the button next to the corresponding input. 
    • The table below shows the correlation of inputs.
  2. Use the appropriate knob to increase or decrease the volume. Pressing the knob inward will mute/unmute the audio.

Lighting for this space can be controlled using the Lighting Control Panel shown below. The buttons on the right side of the panel indicate the brightness level of the room lights.

  • Top button = full brightness
  • Middle buttons = levels of dimming.
  • Bottom button = lights off
