Housing and Dietary Accommodations

ADRC disability professionals work with students and Housing and Food Services to provide equitable and effective access for students with documented disabilities.

How Housing and Dietary Accommodations Work at OU

  • Once students with documented disabilities are registered with the ADRC the disabiltiy professional they met with will send an accommodation notice to Housing and Food Services.
    • Priority deadlines are as follows:
      • Entering the Fall semester: May 1
      • Entering the Spring semester: November 1
  • Once a student has completed registration with the ADRC and an accommodation notice has been sent to Housing and Food Services, the student should direct any questions to Housing and Food Services regarding the following:
    • Room assignment
    • Roommates
    • Room pricing
  • Assistance Animals

  • Once students with documented disabilities are registered with the ADRC the disabiltiy professional they met with will send an accommodation notice to Housing and Food Services and connect the student with the on-campus dietitian.
  • The dietitian will work directly with the student and Housing and Food Services to determine any additional accommodaitons that must be made specifically to their dietary needs.
