The Center for Spatial Analysis (CSA) is the University of Oklahoma’s leading provider of geospatial consulting services. Our collective expertise enables us to deliver a comprehensive suite of services—from application development and web mapping to cartography and geovisualization—designed to support data-driven decision-making across a range of sectors.
As a division of the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences, we specialize in applied research and development using a suite of geospatial technologies, including enterprise GIS solutions, relational database systems, web mapping, and custom geospatial web and mobile applications.
Our team of full-time researchers, professionals, and administrative staff supports long-standing partnerships with key state agencies, including the Oklahoma State Election Board, Department of Education, and Tax Commission. We also collaborate with organizations such as the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, Oklahoma Archaeological Survey, and the Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry.
CSA has over 30 years of applied geospatial research experience. Areas of research currently include global environmental change monitoring and detection and geospatial data science and urban analytics with a focus on remote sensing and algorithm development.

CSA contributes to a variety of educational programs and events to support the use of geospatial technologies in schools, communities, and businesses. This includes hosting GIS Day at OU annually and developing custom workshops on a variety of GIS workflows.
