Frequently Asked Questions

As a reminder, all data is completely anonymous and confidential, and we aggregate all data to ensure protection of each individual’s responses. No potentially identifying information is used in data analyses. All data will be retained for at least five years following completion of the research project.

One of the main purposes of this study is to improve college experience for undergraduate students. We use the academic data to connect to your survey responses so we can understand your academic progress. This information is important so that we can tailor future programs to focus on those factors that have the biggest impact and are most helpful to students at OU. Without a measure of academic success, we would not be able to provide recommendations for future programs. The academic data consists of grade, GPA, academic standing, academic progress, classes that you have taken and are taking, graduation status, and other similar/relevant information. However, please note that we DO NOT ask for Social Security numbers, mother’s maiden name, or any information regarding bank accounts or credit cards. Any identifier in your academic data will be replaced with a study identification number that has no connection to your name or other identifying information. Only authorized and FERPA-trained research personnel will have access to your de-identified data. Your survey data and academic data will be password-encrypted and stored separately.

The results of the study are located on our Preliminary Findingstab. The study is on-going, so this page will be continuously updated as we gather more information.

If you are having trouble redeeming your gift card, please email us. We will provide step-by-step instructions. If that still doesn’t solve the problem, you can set up a time with one of the research team members, and we will show you the steps in person.
