Psychology Graduate Student Association

Skip Side Navigation

Psychology Graduate Student Association (PGSA) aims to foster community amongst the graduate students through various activities such as tailgates, research fairs, service events, and speaking/writing groups.

In addition to special events, members hold regular meetings to discuss the concerns of the graduate students as well as opportunities to develop the welfare and professionalism of graduate students in the Department of Psychology.

The Big Event

Psychology graduate students and their spouses volunteering at the big event.

This year, PGSA put together a team of graduate students (and their spouses) to participate in OU's Big Event. We helped with gardening at the United Methodist Church. The day was full of lots of fun, service, and community building. We are looking forward to next years Big Event!

Research Spark

Our research chair this year organized an event to help foster interdisciplinary research within the psychology department. We met with students in different areas of psychology than our own to hear about their research and come up with potential ideas for collaboration. We hope this make this an event that occurs every semester.

Volleyball

As our last event this year, our sports chair organized a volleyball tournament in which students, faculty, family, and friends were invited to participate. We had a great turn out; special shout outs to Dr. Eric Day and Dr. Adam Feltz who showed up ready to compete as always! It was a great way to celebrate the end of the year with our OU Psychology Graduate community.
