This summer, MAMS faculty Francesca Giani, Jason Harris, and Linda Endersby participated in several virtual summits hosted by MuseumNext, an international platform for museum professionals focused on innovation and emerging practices in the field. The summits brought together museum practitioners from around the world to share case studies exploring contemporary approaches to digital exhibitions, public programming, and on how AI is shaping the museum landscape.
Insights and case studies presented during these sessions will be incorporated into several Museum Studies courses, including Museums, Cultures, and Communities, Exhibition Development, and Technology for Museum Professionals, providing students with opportunities to examine current professional practices and apply lessons from real-world museum projects to their own work.
