About

While artificial intelligence is making significant strides in healthcare and advanced manufacturing, challenges in model deployment, efficiency, user-friendliness, and trustworthiness remain unsolved. Dr. Ahsan aims to tackle these challenges by developing optimal AI solutions that can be efficiently deployed across various healthcare and advanced manufacturing systems. Specifically, his work focuses on disease diagnosis in healthcare and improving additive manufacturing through data analysis and advanced AI methodologies, including machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and digital twins. Dr. Ahsan has contributed to over 60 peer-reviewed publications, serving as the first author on more than 25 of them. This includes 10 articles in top-tier Q1 journals, among which two papers rank in the top 1.00% and five papers fall within the top 10.00% of the most-cited articles in the engineering field for their respective years of publication. He has published papers in Expert Systems with Applications, Neural Networks, IEEE Access, Machine Learning with Applications, and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine.
