EACS M.Ed. - Norman Campus

EACS offers a Master’s in Education (M.Ed.) degree through our M.Ed. program at the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education in Norman, Oklahoma. This program prepares students for administrative and other leadership positions in schools. Students have access to a rigorous, high-quality program designed to meet working professionals' needs by offering evening classes supplemented by outside research activities and field experiences.

The M.Ed. emphasizes critical inquiry through activities and research to prepare educators to lead and manage complex organizations. The program suits working professionals expected to serve with distinction in demanding positions while completing the degree. The degree is a building and/or district-level leadership skills program approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Education for certification purposes. Mentored, organized fieldwork is an integral part of the program.

Masters Program Requirements

  • A professional CV/resume emphasizing career experience.
  • A statement of purpose about why you wish to pursue a Master’s in Education and how it aligns with your current work and future professional goals.
  • A response to writing sample prompts.
  • Create an application for admission into the Graduate College
  • Application deadlines are flexible but it is preferred by the first week of December for Spring admission and the first week of May for Fall admission.

EACS M.Ed. - Tulsa Campus

This program is designed to prepare students for administrative and other leadership positions in schools. Students have access to a rigorous, high-quality program that is designed to meet the needs of working professionals by offering intensive weekend classes supplemented by outside research activities and field experiences. All coursework is offered at the Schusterman Center and/or online.

 

OU Tulsa building

The master's program on the Tulsa campus conducts rolling admissions.

Applications submitted fewer than two weeks before the start of a given semester will be given consideration for the following semester.
