Allison Palmer, Ph.D.


Allison Lee Palmer is a professor of art history in the School of Visual Arts at the University of Oklahoma. She received her B.A. in Art History from Mount Holyoke College and her M.A. and Ph.D. from Rutgers University with a focus on European Renaissance and Baroque art and architecture. Palmer currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in European art from the Renaissance through the 18th century and humanities courses for the College of Professional and Continuing Studies and for OU’s Summer in Italy programs. Her research focuses on patronage in late Medieval and Early Renaissance Italy and Roman Baroque Art and Architecture.
