OU Nightly is an award-winning newscast at the University of Oklahoma striving to educate students on careers within the broadcast industry. With both teams, editorial and production, students are able to experience what it takes to run a professional news station.
Editorial produces the newscast, bringing together various producers and reporters to create scripts, graphics and videos that are unique to each show. Production introduces a hands-on experience with top-notch equipment such as live shot kits, audio boards, studio cameras, and more.
Our production crew is responsible for bringing the producer’s vision to life, actively working behind the scenes.
The collaboration between editorial and production is crucial to ensuring the newscast airs live at 4:30 on weekdays.
