General Education is at the heart of OU's mission. OU's curriculum is designed to ensure that graduating Sooners have breadth and depth - the fundamental knowledge and skills they need to flourish as individuals and as citizens.
Use the new General Education planning tool to determine requirements and help plan your entire Gen Ed education.
View a complete list of courses and description of requirements to complete the Gen Ed program.
With ClassNav, students can browse and search all courses at OU, including general education. Sort by subject, course type, and more.
This website should be used in conjunction with an academic degree work sheet and in consultation with an academic advisor. Many colleges/programs require specific courses to fulfill gen ed requirements, while other colleges require additional college requirements that are also in the gen ed column on the checksheet (beyond the 40 hrs).
