The B.S. in Construction Science is a 120-credit-hour degree designed to be completed in four years. Courses are offered in-person through a mix of lectures and labs, giving students a strong foundation in both theory and practice. The curriculum is intentionally broad, preparing graduates for success across the full spectrum of the construction industry.
Students in the Construction Science program gain hands-on experience through required internships and have opportunities to participate in student competitions at regional, national, and international levels. The curriculum emphasizes data analytics and innovation in construction, preparing graduates for a rapidly evolving industry. All faculty bring professional experience, ensuring that coursework is grounded in real-world practice.
Admission to the Construction Science degree program is competitive. To move into the upper division, students must have completed all courses in the freshman and sophomore years and maintain a 2.5 GPA or better. Seventy students are admitted each fall in to the Junior-level Construction Science Courses.
Admission to the Junior year is based on the following:
All Construction Science students have the option of taking the Associate Constructor Exam in their final year, prior to graduation (the division will pay half of the cost to take the exam).
Construction Science majors who are interested in a minor are encouraged to pursue a General Business Minor. The Construction Science Division also offers a minor in Construction Science.
