Andrea Gossard, a GCA construction science alumna, was recently named among Engineering News Record‘s (ENR) Top Young Professionals in Texas and Louisiana.
During her career, Gossard has worked on many high-profile cases in Oklahoma, such as the rehabilitation of the Oklahoma State Capitol building, as well as many projects for OU. She now serves as a Senior Advisor at Cooper Project Advisors, and works as a volunteer at Rebuild Together OKC, a nonprofit that helps improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners in OKC. In addition to this accolade, Gossard has also been named Associated General Contractors Project Manager of the Year, and was selected as one of OKC Biz’s Forty Under 40 and Oklahoma Magazine’s 40 Under 40.
ENR is an editorial magazine that provides news on topics such as “engineering and construction news, analysis, commentary and data that construction industry professionals need to do their jobs more effectively.” They report a wide array of projects and topics in the fields of both architecture and engineering, in order to inform readers on what is happening in the industry.
Gibbs College of Architecture is proud to recognize Petya Stefanoff, who is pursuing her doctorate in the Planning, Design & Construction (PDC) program, has been appointed the new role of Director of Community Development for the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma. She joined the city in 2024.

Wiley, Ph.D., associate professor in the Division of Planning, Landscape Architecture and Design and director of the Institute for Quality Communities, has received national recognition for her book Model Schools in the Model City. The book has been named a finalist for the 2026 the PROSE Awards.
Gibbs College of Architecture Regional + City Planning Professor of Practice Vanessa Morrison and Associate Professor of Architecture Deborah Richards’ Open Design Collective received top honors at the inaugural BlackSpace Urbanist Collective Studio KIN Pitch Night Competition, held last month in Brooklyn, New York City.
