At the University of Oklahoma, your learning doesn’t stop when you leave the classroom, it continues right where you live.
Our Residence Life team is here to support your academic success every step of the way. From connecting you with tutoring resources to hosting faculty-led events in the halls, we make it easy to find help, get involved, and stay on track. Faculty-in-Residence
The Faculty-in-Residence (FIR) program at the University of Oklahoma brings learning beyond the classroom and into everyday campus life. Faculty members live in the Residential College community, creating opportunities for students to connect, ask questions, and build meaningful relationships in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Through shared meals, engaging programs, and informal conversations, FIRs serve as mentors, role models, and guides. They help bridge academic and residential experiences - making it easier for students to explore ideas, find support, and feel at home on campus.
At OU, the FIR program is all about connection, community, and helping students thrive, both academically and personally. Get to know more about our current FIR family!
