Crimson Prairie Ventures
Crimson Prairie Ventures is a venture capital training organization and the student-managed funding arm of Startup OU, which administers and deploys Startup OU's approximately $50,000 of non-dilutive, pre-seed capital released each year. The student-led organization also offers training opportunities for students interested in exploring careers in venture capital and learning how to evaluate startups and small businesses for investment.
Venture Analyst Bootcamp
Crimson Prairie Ventures offers a training bootcamp program for students interested in exploring careers in venture capital. Analyst cohorts engage in hands-on, experiential training conducting due diligence analyses, market assessments and company valuations for real-world startups within the university and community pipelines.
The venture analyst bootcamp engages students through a semester-long, comprehensive and non-academic training program that supplies students with an in-depth knowledge of venture capital fundamentals and applied learning opportunities.
All bootcamp sessions are held on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Membership in Crimson Prairie Ventures
Following the successful graduation of the venture analyst training program, students may be offered an opportunity to join Crimson Prairie Ventures' investment analysis team. As part of the investment analysis team, students will gain the opportunity to source, analyze and ultimately decide how Crimson Prairie Ventures will deploy capital. Members are also allowed 24-7 access to the Crimson Prairie Ventures office, an exclusive space for coworking and collaboration located in the Startup Hub at the Tom Love Innovation Hub.
