Student Opportunities
Startup OU inspires and engages students from the University of Oklahoma to explore and pursue opportunities in entrepreneurship. Through partnerships with student founders, innovators, and other student leaders, Startup OU has launched various student-led initiatives that empower students to gain an entrepreneurial mindset and ultimately become contributors to the Oklahoma entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Student Programs
Crimson Momentum is a student-led advisory board responsible for the strategic guidance and direction of Startup OU in efforts to grow the organization's impact on the University of Oklahoma student body. The Crimson Momentum executive board plays a critical role in supporting Startup OU in providing university students unique opportunities to develop ideas, build entrepreneurial skills, and connect with other innovators and starters at the University of Oklahoma.
Crimson Prairie Ventures is a venture capital training organization and the student-managed funding arm of Startup OU, which administers and deploys Startup OU's approximately $50,000 of non-dilutive, pre-seed capital released each year. The student-led organization also offers training opportunities for students interested in exploring careers in venture capital and learning how to evaluate startups and small businesses for investment.
Venture Internships is an internship placement program that works alongside local and regional startups to recruit and train students for placement in Oklahoma-based ventures in our portfolio and with our partners. This program offers skilled students an opportunity to work on real-world projects with real businesses and customers.
