  • Though Winter Session courses run 4 weeks, the expectation is they are to be just as rigorous as a full 16-week course offered in the fall semester.

University Policies for Winter Session

  • Each credit hour must include 800 minutes of instructional time. The University requires 50 minutes of instructional time per clock hour. 10 minutes of break time must also be included. These examples do not include holidays.

Salaries

Winter Session stipends are included on the January 31st paystub.

All stipends reach their max with 25 students enrolled as of the 4th day of class:

  • Full Professor $5100
  • Associate $4900
  • Assistant $4700
  • Adjunct, Lecturer & Instructor  $4600
  • GTA $4500
  • On the " COMMIT/CANCEL " date, you will be contacted via email by the Intersession office.  You will be given your course enrollment and you will have to decide whether to commit to teaching your course or cancel.  You will not be contacted if your enrollment is 10 or above at the time of "COMMIT/CANCEL." Once you "commit" to teach the course, you are required to continue despite any decreases in enrollment.

I hope you will consider teaching during Winter Session, which in turn assists thousands of OU students with earning their degree in a timely fashion. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Thank you.
