CMS Basics Best Practices
CMS Components are the building blocks used to create content on your website. Each component is designed to help you build pages that are clean, consistent, and aligned with OU’s branding and accessibility standards. Components have built-in configuration options so you can control layout, style, and functionality—without needing to write any code.
You can add components to your page in two main ways:
From the Side panel
Click the Components icon in the left sidebar.
Find the component you want, then drag and drop it into the desired area of your page.
From the Page Content Area (Parsys)
Click inside the Content Parsys area on the page.
Click the Plus (+) icon that appears.
A list of available components will open. Click to add one directly into that section.
