YouTube Component

When working within the Content Parsys all web components must first be placed inside of a Section Component

The YouTube component lets you easily embed YouTube videos onto your webpage without needing to adjust the size manually. The component automatically optimizes how the video is displayed based on the viewer’s device, making it mobile-friendly and accessible.

Usage

  • Share a welcome message from a department chair or program director
  • Highlight student experiences or alumni stories
  • Promote upcoming events or past event recaps

How to Add the Component

Click within a section component to insert new components.

  1. Click the + icon

  2. Choose YouTube Component HTL

How to Configure the Component

  1. To start using the component, click anywhere on the component and a menu will appear.

  2. Click the wrench icon to enter configure mode.

Working within the Component

There is only one main setting in the YouTube Component. We recommend that you leave all other fields blank. 
 
  • Find the YouTube Video ID
    While watching a video you can look at your browser address bar to find the ID. It will be listed after "/watch?v="

  1. Enter the YouTube Video ID in the first field.

  2. Click the check mark to save your changes and close the window. To cancel without saving, click the X.
