The program has been designed for students working full-time and is being offered completely online
The Online M.S. in Natural Gas Engineering & Management is a 36-credit hour program, completed in two years while working full-time. The program focuses on technical expertise needed for leadership positions expanding on the benefits of natural gas as a clean fuel with minimal environmental impact.

The program is built for working professionals in the technical disciplines of natural gas engineering, with small courses focused on engaging students and creating interaction with both faculty and the other students. Plus, each graduate will have access to industry contacts through the vast and expansive Sooner alumni network.
The instruction consists of both OU faculty in Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering and industry professionals combining real world experience with the latest research in the field. Including in our instructors are Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy Dean Mike Stice, the former CEO of Access Midstream.
This program is unique and like no other across the country. It is an ideal combination of engineering classes that span the product lifecycle as well as business courses that provide financial acumen and leadership capabilities. Industry leaders will be created in this program.

Admission to the online program is selective. Those interested in the program should have a competitive undergraduate GPA. Additional admissions factors may include work or service experience, demonstrated leadership potential, exceptional talents or skills, trends, or improvement in academic performance and undergraduate school performance.
