Tuition and fees for the program are $29,550 ($985 per credit hour). Books and additional materials are not included.

Once accepted into the program, students must submit a $350 nonrefundable deposit within two weeks. Deposits are applied toward tuition expenses and secure a student’s place in the upcoming class. There is no application fee for this degree.

Program Breakdown

OU Online’s M.S. in Sustainable Architecture (MSSA) program is structured to provide students with an understanding of evidence-based, cutting-edge approaches to building performance analysis. The program emphasizes the use of analytical tools to help architects make better design decisions and communicate that rationale to their clients.

Using case studies, industry leader lectures, and value-added live sessions, students will learn what materials, practices, and processes are used to create sustainable environments.

Students can start in the spring, summer, or fall, joining asynchronous and optional synchronous sessions led by world-class OU faculty. All courses in the program are core courses.

Program Details

To apply to the online Master of Science in Sustainable Architecture program, you must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university (or the international equivalent) and provide the following:
  • Complete the online application.
  • Official transcripts from all previous undergraduate and graduate institutions
  • Professional resume that includes past education and work experience (3-5 years of experience required)
  • Written personal statement on career goals, expectations for the program, and experience you’ll be bringing to the program
  • TOEFL or IELTS scores for applicants whose first language is not English

The admissions committee operates under a rolling admission process, and admissions may continue until two weeks before classes start. The committee strives to respond to all applicants within two weeks of submitting a completed application.
