The Director of the University Policy Office leads the development and oversight of policies across all three institutions governed by the Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma. This role includes coordinating the full policy lifecycle in collaboration with key policy liaisons and ensuring that all policies in the University Policy Library are current and consistent.
The University of Oklahoma Policy Library through PolicyStat serves as the central repository for the Board of Regents’ governing policies, as well as campus-specific policies across all three institutions.
Michelle joined the University Policy Office in 2024 after serving as OU Foundation’s Liaison to the OU College of Law as Executive Director of Advancement. Her career includes several policy-focused positions with the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, various state agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Michelle most recently served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust. She has served on the Board of Trustees at Oklahoma Christian University for over twenty years and has also held positions on the Oklahoma State Board of Education, the State Board of Career and Technology Education, and the Oklahoma Commission for Human Services. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Christian University. Michelle is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and a graduate of the Oklahoma Agricultural Leadership Program, Class IX.
