Orhan Bahadır Doğan is an Assistant Professor in Marketing & Supply Chain Management at the University of Oklahoma’s Michael F. Price College of Business. Before joining OU, he worked on his Ph.D. in Marketing at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. He also holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from Georgia State University.
Professor Doğan’s interests broadly lie in the interface of technology and marketing. He focuses on relevant business problems on linking marketing strategy to a firm’s decision-making capabilities, particularly how digital marketing can effectively be used to enhance the end-user experience. His current research involves betterment of customer wellness through digital nudging using wearable technology and helping improve firm performance and stakeholder engagement in digital contexts.
Professor Doğan has won several awards and received recognitions in his career. In 2020, he was granted the GTA Teaching Excellence Award from Georgia State University. His research was recognized at the Marketing Strategy Consortium hosted by the University of Texas at Austin in December 2020, where his dissertation was the first runner-up for the inaugural Lisa Scheer Doctoral Fellow Research Award. His working paper in ridesharing won the best paper in customer engagement award in Winter AMA Conference in New Orleans in 2018. He was also awarded research grants during his Ph.D. studies and he received his Master’s degree with full scholarship.
