Brent Myers is a first-year Ph.D. student in the John T. Steed School of Accounting at the Michael F. Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics from Southern Utah University and a Master of Accountancy from Utah Valley University.
Before joining the Ph.D. program in 2025, Brent taught accounting courses as an adjunct faculty member at Utah Valley University. He also worked as a Senior Associate in International Tax and Transfer Pricing at Tanner Accountants & Advisors, Utah’s premier independent public accounting firm. Prior to transitioning to public accounting and academia, Brent held leadership roles at Fidelity Investments, where he enjoyed a successful career as a Senior Leader.
His professional background informs his research interests in the interaction between incentives, financial reporting, and decision-making.
