About Campbell

Sean Campbell is a Ph.D. candidate in the Tom Love Division of Entrepreneurship and Economic Development at the University of Oklahoma's Michael F. Price College of Business. His research interests include corporate entrepreneurship and the friction between optimized corporate procedures and the unpredictability of entrepreneurial efforts like innovation and new venture building.

Prior to academia, Sean served as a technology consultant with Ernst & Young for 8 years - focusing primarily on e-commerce transformations. Most recently, he spent 4 years as the technology lead for a top Quick Service Restaurant chain’s new venture group. He supported the team from a technology perspective in their effort to create a new venture test incubation engine - developing a strategy for the optimal technology architecture to support the launch of a variety of new business concepts. He advised the operational procedures as well as led the implementation, support, and iteration of in-restaurant POS technology used for the launch of a new restaurant brand designed to be a test kitchen for the parent company.

Sean’s real world experience with the struggles of entrepreneurial activities in the corporate context is a key reason for his research interests.
