Bhaskar Kaushik is a Ph.D. student in Finance at the University of Oklahoma's Michael F. Price College of Business. His research spans empirical asset pricing, derivatives, and market microstructure, with current work examining how the rapid growth of zero-days-to-expiry (0DTE) options has reshaped dealer hedging and intraday volatility in equity index markets. He also studies the sources of predictive power in the term structure of interest rates and questions of governance and accountability as artificial intelligence assumes delegated decision-making authority in financial markets.
Before beginning his Ph.D., Bhaskar spent nearly a decade in industry, working across financial services and analytics. He holds an MBA in Finance, Supply Chain, and Analytics from Asia School of Business, established in collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
Outside of research, Bhaskar enjoys running, spending time outdoors, and meditation.
