Nishant Ahlawat is a Ph.D. student in Finance at the University of Oklahoma. His research interests include empirical asset pricing, venture capital, and behavioral finance, with a particular focus on how information, incentives, and investor behavior influence financial markets and investment decisions. He is interested in developing empirical research that combines economic theory with modern quantitative methods to address questions relevant to financial markets.
Before beginning his Ph.D., Nishant earned both an MBA and an M.S. from the University of Oklahoma, graduating with distinction. His professional experience includes working with early-stage startups and innovation ecosystems, where he supported entrepreneurs, investors, and commercialization initiatives.
Outside of research, Nishant enjoys distance running, hiking, and exploring national parks. He is also passionate about following developments in technology, artificial intelligence, and their implications for financial markets and investment
