Wil Fisackerly, Ph.D., joined the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business in Fall 2024 after earning his doctorate in Sport and Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina. His teaching and research focus on collegiate esports, sports finance, revenue generation, and the development of the broader esports ecosystem. He oversees Price College’s Esports Business certificate and teaches courses in esports, sports finance, sports sales, and introductory sports business. His work has been recognized with the Bruce Magoon Master Teacher Award, the Scholastic Esports Awards’ Research Excellence honor, Norman NEXT Under 40, and the University of South Carolina’s Outstanding Doctoral Teacher of the Year award.
The University of Oklahoma Michael F. Price College of Business has experienced significant growth over the past five years, becoming OU’s second-largest college with over 7,000 students.
